About Icaros

Icaros Festival was our first stop on tour this summer so it was really special for us as a band to get to be in a festival environment that was calm and grounded, where prayer and healing was a central focus.

I really appreciated getting to connect with some of the other artists and elders who were there. Getting to hear Alonso del Rio was a huge highlight for me personally.

We felt such a warm welcome and openness from the audience during our set and a real willingness to go deep into the practices in the workshop.

I was invited to the ICAROS International Medicine Music Festival 2024. What a privilege to be able to share my music and my being in such a wonderful environment, where the fact that music is medicine is highlighted.

I’ve spent my whole life nourishing myself, cleansing myself, and accompanying myself with sound and silence without even realizing it. Now, in these last 20 or 30 years, I’m becoming more conscious of it thanks to the response of those who listen, and thanks to festivals like ICAROS, which brings us together to share Love, Truth, Beauty, and Purity through presence, music, and the joyful dance of body and soul.

It felt less like a conventional festival and more like a gathering of friends, an extended medicine family and an open-hearted tribe coming together to connect, celebrate music and share ceremony.

As an artist, I felt deeply connected to the people and genuinely supported in offering my music as service. There was a genuine sense of reunion, a meeting point for old friends and new souls alike, held in a field of warmth, presence and mutual respect.

The festival was wonderfully well attended, yet never so large that it lost its intimacy. That balance is rare and precious. I wholeheartedly recommend Icaros Festival to anyone who resonates with grassroots medicine music, conscious community and the living vibration of peace, love and celebration.

Medicine music is spiritual music at its core, and the spirit is strong at Icaros. I played at Icaros Festival in 2024 and ’25, and it quickly became my favourite medicine music festival.

The size is just big enough to feel like a festival while retaining the sense of a big extended family. The way the festival is set up and held by the organisers cultivates the feeling of being in a village.

It’s a heart-opening experience in which we can feel the sense of the gathering of a tribe and, in these turbulent times, it brings a sense of unity, hope and purpose. Viva Icaros Festival!

Icaros Festival is a field of love, acceptance and the beauty of real medicine music and our human hearts. It was an absolute pleasure performing and creating magic there.

I truly enjoyed being there and felt so taken care of as an artist by the Icaros team. I highly recommend participating if you’re searching for a festival that is committed to its message of unity and peace.
